About me

Hello! My name is James "BJ" Jones. Owner of BJ's Sharpening Service LLC. I'm a retired Lithographer/Pre-Press operator in the commercial printing industry. After 35 years in the trade, I retired in 2010 and moved to Conway, SC in 2014. I soon opened Afterglow Power Washing LLC. and was successful until 2020 when Covid hit and the world economy crashed. I closed my business and went into full-time retirement. Since that time the entire nation struggled to make ends meet. (especially retired fixed-income folks.)

Now it's 2026. A new era and the countries health and economy is hopefully on the rise. So here I am. At 70 years young, I've decided to come out of hibernation and rejoin the human society with a new and exciting business. Mobile Sharpening Service. I've loved knives and tools since I was a kid. They always had my interest in one way or another through out my life. What better way to fulfill my time and effort but to do something I love for a living to suppliment my retirement for the future. Knives and tools have been around since caveman days, and everyone has at least one or two (and they all need sharpening). Sharpening for most of us is a chore we need to do but don't always keep up with it. We don't think about it until it's time to use them. It's aways when we're crushing a tomato or fighting with a tough steak. Ugh!

Completely hassle free. No inconvenience. No waiting days to get done. Same day service. At your home or business. No privacy invasion. Very reasonably priced.
